Should you give up?

The other common mistake people made while trying to quit is they tend to give up when something bad happen. Most likely they will give up and blame it on the stress, the problems, situations they are facing right now. Personally, I faced numerous stressful problems after I quit. That is where my friends and loved ones around me come to recognize my talent and asked if I could help them to quit subsequently.

Should you give up? These are the question I asked myself during those times. But I had to ask more question like:

1)    Does smoking solve my problems?
2)    Does smoking really make me feel better?
3)    Will I quit again after I give up now? If yes, why give up now?
4)    And if I give up now can I take the withdrawal symptoms the next time?
5)    Why give up when I decided to quit in the first place? (effort wasted)
6)    Do I really want to be controlled by nicotine again?

I seen people gave up quitting during bad time like the recent economy downturn and I believe there are more. The truth is every time you go through such situation without going back to smoke, it makes you stronger and the resistance to smoke will be enhance.

Why do we smoke when we are stress? The actual fact is we not only smoke when we are stress but we smoke when there are activity that we use to associate with. For example, if you used to smoke after a meal then you will feel like smoking after a meal. For me I use to smoke heavily when my gout relapse so the very next time my gout relapse I did have the temptation to smoke. By breaking the habit of smoking when the associated activity happens it also strength the willpower to quit forever.

Quitting and bad time are of total different issue so if you can logic yourself for one minute the answer will be clear to you. Hope this post is an encouragement to those thinking of giving up and helped you to push towards a smoke free lifestyle.

How I Quit With A Little Help

Having to part the habit of smoking is one of the hardest things to do in life. I know this as I was in the same position as you. All the hate and love involved. I was smoking at least 2 packets a day worse when there are projects, problems during work and things to be solved immediately. My health was at terrible high, I had high LDL-cholesterol ("bad" cholesterol), high uric acid and breathless just climbing few steps of stairs. Getting tire easily which leads me to more cigarettes to sustain the nicotine level in my body. It was then I realized that I had to quit smoking, get free from the dependency of nicotine and it had to be permanent.

I have tried using patches and gum on my 2nd attempt to quit but the results were not permanent as it takes away the craving for nicotine but not the habit (of holding the cigarettes and puffing away). I ended up smoking again with all those patches and gum in the trash.

Months after my 2nd attempt I did nothing till I went over this site on the internet called Quit Smoking Today. I never trusted this kind of site which have claims and testimonials and I always think they are just faking all the claims and testimonials. Till now I still do not understand why I bought the course but this decision I made finally changed my life!

Back then I had no idea of what Neuro-Linguistic-Programming (which is a form of Hypnosis) is. I just follow through the course which was to download and listen to the recording once a day for about a week. It has been years I have not had a cigarette since using this course.

Though in my blog I share how I manage to quit smoking (experience), there are some limitations on how I can effectively help you in the same way I helped people around me. Just like a students getting different grades in the same class. The course only works on 97.2% of people but thankfully I was in that majority.

Now I am able to afford better vacations with my loved ones with the money I saved instead of smoking it away. I actually open an account for the money I saved. You will be really surprise on the amount at the end of the year (trust me)!

Final Verdict:

If you were in the same boat as me and are struggling to kick the habit for good, then I recommend you take a look at Quit Smoking Today. It has working wonders for me, along with many others. To improve your health and save loads of cash just check out the link below

How to quit smoking cold turkey (Part 1)

Before I go on, I must admit that I did not quit the first time trying but I only did on the 3rd attempt (as there are some help). During all these trial and error I manage to pick a few common mistakes that people made while trying to quit. And I had the honor of helping my friends and loved ones around me to quit which assisted me to realize more mistakes that people made. Below are some of the preparations on how to quit smoking cold turkey method.

First of all, know the “real” reason why you are deciding to quit. I often get people who want to quit telling me they quit because of their parents, their wife, their children, their this and their that is nagging at them. Or reason like for my family, for my children, for my loved ones and etc.

We human are driven by pain and pleasure. Unless things like “if I don’t quit now my son is going to suffer of having asthma attack”, this is the PAIN people avoid or try to avoid. Or things like “by quitting smoking now I increase the chance of having children”, this is the PLEASURE people tends to look forward to. I hope you get what I mean.

Finding a real reason also helps to stay smoke free forever. During my 1st attempt to quit I used cold turkey method as well. I was puffing away only after a month of quitting. The difference I notice is that on the 3rd attempt I had stronger reason and used the same reason to refrain from smoking.

The pain of cold turkey also plays a part for me to refrain from smoking. If you have gone through the “pain” of the withdrawal symptoms what are the chances that you would like to go through it again? This “pain” acts as the double strong point on top of the real reason to stop smoking forever.

For me, it is the reason and “pain” that got me years without smoking. In this post I have highlighted some important points and I will be going into details on the post.
